Dental pain rarely waits for business hours, and by the time it's bad enough to call about, the situation is usually already urgent. A cracked tooth exposing the nerve, an abscess forming near the gumline, or uncontrolled bleeding are the kinds of symptoms that shouldn't wait until Monday.
Our emergency line routes you to whichever partner office has same-day or after-hours capacity, not a fixed appointment book. Evening and weekend calls route to on-call coverage rather than routing you into a queue for the next business day.
Skipping urgent care rarely makes the problem disappear — an untreated infection can spread from the tooth into the jaw or bloodstream within days. Catching it early, even at an odd hour, is usually what keeps a bad night from turning into a bad week.
On-call coverage exists specifically for calls that come in outside normal office hours.
A quick phone assessment determines whether you need to be seen in the next hour or the next day.
Imaging happens during the emergency visit itself, so treatment decisions aren't delayed waiting on a referral.
Getting you out of acute pain is the first priority of the visit, with a longer-term plan discussed after.
Whatever the specifics of your case, the specialist you reach through us has handled it before.
Diagnoses the source — often nerve inflammation or infection — and manages pain the same visit.
If you act within the first hour, a knocked-out tooth can sometimes be re-implanted and stabilized with a splint.
Drains the infection, prescribes antibiotics if needed, and schedules any follow-up root canal or extraction.
Temporary or permanent repair is chosen based on how much of the tooth structure remains.
Reseats or replaces a dislodged crown or filling before the exposed tooth develops new decay.
Non-restorable teeth are removed promptly rather than left to worsen while other options are debated.
You describe what's going on; no automated menu, no long hold.
We match you with a nearby specialist experienced in this exact procedure and check real-time openings.
The specialist examines your case, often with same-visit X-rays, and gives you a cost estimate before starting anything.
Treatment proceeds on the agreed plan, with clear aftercare instructions and a follow-up if the case calls for one.
"They walked me through the cost and the procedure before I agreed to anything. Appreciated that."
"Didn't have to wait weeks like my old dentist. Straight to a specialist who knew exactly what to do."
"Price they quoted on the phone matched the invoice exactly. No surprise charges."
If you're in significant pain or see swelling, fever, or a tooth that's been knocked loose, call immediately.
Emergency slots are checked in real time, and most urgent cases are seen the same day, including evenings.
Handle it by the crown, not the root, and keep it moist in milk or saline until you're seen — time matters.
Yes — new patients are accepted for emergency visits without needing prior history at that office.
Whether antibiotics are needed depends on the exam findings; draining the infection is usually the priority treatment.
Emergency visit pricing is confirmed on the call, whether you have insurance or are paying out of pocket.
Our coverage spans Golden Hills and its surrounding area, matching you with the closest available specialist.
Every provider carries an active CA dental license, verified before referral.
A short phone call is all it takes to get this on the calendar this week.
